Tony’s LCC Update 9/23/18

Dear LCCers,
All the political wrangling going on this week has been exhausting. In Heaven: no politics! Everyone will be on the same team! “Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.” (1 Cor 13:12)
I hope Sunday can be a respite from the various storms going on around us as we come together to worship our Lord and encourage each other. As you know, we’ve been studying 1 Corinthians for a long time, and this Sunday’s message will be the last in our series. Read 1 Cor 16:19-24, and I will look forward to being with you then, In October, Lord willing, I plan a series on both Sundays and Wednesdays called “Anxious for Nothing”, from Philippians 4:4-8. As you know, our culture is loaded with anxiety, worry, and stress. Some of us suffer from being anxious to the point that we have lost the ability to function; all of us have unwelcome amounts of it in our lives. So I plan for us to ask our Father for His help with this! On Wednesday nights starting this week our Adults will be studying a Max Lucado DVD series on this subject. And our Sunday messages will also look at the help God’s Word provides in this important area. This text from Philippians is magnificent! I urge you to go ahead now and feast on it.
Ekkelsia, the coming together of many churches across North GA, is coming Oct 7! The service is at Galilee Christian in Jefferson at 6 pm on that date, and Dwayne and our Choir, Orchestra, and Tech Crew will be leading the worship. I hope you will plan to come, it is always an uplifting service.
On Sunday Oct 14 we plan a special Luncheon for Parents with Children (5th graders and under) right after worship in the FLC. The Welcome Sunday School Class will be sponsoring this event. We invite parents and their children to come to this. There is a sign up sheet in the Children’s Ministry area.
My love to all of you. Thank you for your prayers for me and for our church. God bless you–
