Tony’s LCC Update 3/1/19

Dear LCCers,
Plenty to pray about this week, as always! Suzette Cregger lost her step dad, and Wanda McClanahan her brother in law. Many are recovering at home from illnesses and surgery. Pray! Thanks for praying for Dwayne, who returned home safely from his mission’s trip to Poland. We continue to pray for impact from that trip. And here, I ask you to lift up in prayer the lost people, those who don’t know Christ. Pray for people in your family who need the Lord. Pray for people in our community who need a relationship with the Father, for the Lord to draw them to Himself. Pray for our outreach and services. Pray for opportunities to share what Jesus has done for you. Pray!
Many thanks to the Fox and Goeckel families for the great job they did last Saturday at our Chili Cook-off and Men’s Bake-off! A fun night of fellowship. (My team did lose at Trivia, which I thought was very unfair).
There’s another fun day coming tomorrow, as our Children’s Ministry will be having a 1 day retreat, “Heaven on Earth.” The activities go from 9-4, and Allison and her staff have been working extra hard to prepare wonderful activities for the children who come. They’ll have not only a lot of fun, but have opportunities to worship and learn about Jesus, and I am so thankful for Allison’s vision for this day and for all who have contributed financially and through their service to make it happen. Keep this in your prayers, too!
Our series on the Gospels continues Sunday, I hope you’ve been keeping up with your reading! This week: the feeding of the 5000. This marvelous story is in all 4 Gospels, but we’ll be paying particular attention to John’s account–read John 6:1-15. While your at it, read the whole 6th chapter. Powerful!
My love to you and your family–I look forward to worshiping with you on Sunday–
