Tony’s LCC Update 1/18/19

Dear LCCers,
Its been another busy week of prayer for our people, and I encourage everyone to pray for your church family! Here are some of the more pressing needs: As you’ve heard, Geraldine Coleman passed away, and we remember her daughters, Jamila and Jasmine in our prayers. Jill Lyew’s brother, Johnnie Farster went to be with the Lord as well, and we remember Jill and her family. Jamila Coleman and Scott Phillips remain hospitalized at Emory. Robert Humphrey has been at Gwinnett Medical. Mary Fuschetto, Bill O’Brien, and Gensie McDonald all had surgery this week (Bill and Gensie’s surgery was this morning), and they are in need of our prayers as they recover. Pray for our flock!
I hope you are enjoying reading through the Gospels with us! As you know, we are in a year-long sermon series accompanied by a reading through the Bible called, “I Know This is True: Thru God’s Word in ’19.” Right now our reading and messages are in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Today’s reading (in case you don’t have a reading card) is Luke 4. Pick up a reading card in the Welcome Center, and join us in study! We’ll plan to look at one of my favorite stories during the message Sunday, found in Matthew 4:18-22.
I’ll be looking for you on Sunday! Invite and bring a friend. Our ministers–Dwayne, Josh, and Allison–are all doing a wonderful job! Please encourage them and thank them when you see them. My love and prayers to all of you–
